Download process

Connect the drive which is compatible with USB High Speed Driver.
Select the download button and agree to the software end user license agreement to proceed.
Execute INSTALL.exe and follow the message.
Restart a computer and use the 'USB High Speed Driver' to assist USB driver's speed.

Avoidance procedure in case you can't install USB High Speed Driver with Windows10
Use the following instructions if you receive an error message when you execute 'INSTALL.exe'.

Right-click on the zipped file and open 'Properties'.
Click on the 'Unblock' button at the General tab and then on Apply/OK.
You will now be able to access or open the downloaded file. Open the'Unblocked'zip file.

For the user of Windows 98SE
In prior to use the drive DVR-S606, the driver must be installed firstly. The drive can work properly only after the driver installation.
For the user of Windows Me/2000/XP
No need to install the driver. Please proceed with your owners manual by reading the page of 'how to connect the drive'.

Note:

Read the use contract page in prior to download the USB converter driver.

Installation Procedure
Please do not connect the drive yet to your PC.

Click 'Download' button and press 'Agree' button on the use contract page. Then download the USB Converter Driver(S606USB2.EXE) on the appropriate place on the HD of your PC.
Please shut down your PC, and pull out all the USB connections such as drive(s), mouse, keyboard from your PC.
Then reboot your PC.
Double click downloaded 'S606USB2.EXE' icon.
Then Installation starts.

Caution:

After the driver installation, a file 'USB Safe Remover.EXE' is created.
This file cannot be used. Please leave as it is or delete at all.

No need to install the driver. Please proceed with your owners manual by reading the page of 'how to connect the drive'.

Note:

Read the use contract page in prior to download the USB converter driver.

Installation Procedure
Please do not connect the drive yet to your PC.

Double click the SK12D_USB2CC_WIN98.EXE icon to download the Converter Driver on the appropriate place on the HD of your PC.
Shut down your PC, and pull out all the USB connections such as drive(s), mouse, keyboard from your PC.
Then reboot your PC.
Click open the downloaded folder, then double click the 'DDSETUP.EXE' file.
Select 'Installation' and click 'OK' button(installation starts automatically).

Caution:

After the driver installation, a file 'USB Safe Remover.EXE' is created.
This file cannot be used. Please leave as it is or delete at all.

About Region Codes
Region Codes are part of the DVD Standard.
There is a Region number located within one or all of the components required for DVD-VIDEO playback.
The Region number defines the region of the DVD-ROM drive and its playback hardware/software. DVD-VIDEO discs may also contain a Region number in the shape of a world globe. Unless the Region number on both the DVD-VIDEO disc and DVD-ROM drive and its playback components match, playback is not possible. When the word 'ALL' is located in the world globe on a DVD-VIDEO disc, that particular DVD-VIDEO disc can be played on all DVD-ROM drives and its playback components, regardless of its region.
All Pioneer 10X DVD-ROM drives now conform to the RPC mode 2 standard,as set down by the DVD Forum as mandatory for all manufacturers of DVD-ROM drives produced after January 1st 2000.
RPC Phase 1- RPC code management is handled by the DVD Video decoder inside a PC system.
RPC Phase 2-RPC code management is handled by either the DVD-ROM drive or both DVD-ROM drive and DVD-Video decoder inside a PC system.
