I had been running the native 2048x1152 resolution on my Dell SP2309W monitor with no problems on a VGA to VGA cable. I bought a VGA to DVI adapter, attached it to my VGA cable, and then plugged it into the DVI port on the monitor. The monitor didn't register anything, so I decided to forgo the entire DVI connection and I went back to my original VGA to VGA cable.

When I plugged it back in, I no longer got the same resolution options I had before with the monitor, like the 2048x1152 native resolution. Instead, my largest resolution options are now:
- 1920x1080
- 1920x1200
- 1920x1440
- 2048x1536

I have tried unplugging the VGA and power cord for the monitor and holding down the power button on the monitor for 30 seconds and restarting my computer. I've also tried resetting the monitor back to factory defaults as well as reinstalling and updating the video driver on my computer.
