I have a taichi 31 that I have upgraded to windows 10. I am having no problems with the wireless connection or the tablet mode cursor jumping. Note that before the upgrade to windows 10 I did install the VGA drivers for windows 8.1 from ASUS) I did alter the following;

2) My touch screen was upside down in mirror mode after windows 10. To fix this, download the video drivers from Asus for windows 8.1 and install those. I did get a warning that I was installing older drivers, but do it anyway. This fixed the screen and it now operates normally. (See update below)

I have been using windows 10 on this machine for about 1 month and it works very well. I am having two issues that I have not figured out how to fix, so if these are a big deal to you it may pay to wait.

1) In the tablet mode the screen rotate feature does not work.

2) Connecting an external display to the HDMI port with a cable does not work. However, connecting a wireless display works fine if your TV will accept that.

Update 11/18/2015

Windows 10 really wants to install the new drivers for the intel display. The new drivers will work if you do not care of the touch screen is upside down when in mirror mode. In device manager look at display drivers, intel HD Graphics 4000. Right click to get properties. Click on the driver tab. If the driver date is 1/22/2014 and the version is 10.18.10.3412 then the display will work properly. If you have newer drivers, then if possible click on the Roll back driver tab, click OK, wait a bit and see what happens. (If roll back driver is not available, then go to ASUS and download the VGA driver for windows 8.1 and install that.)

Restart the machine. See if it works.

I have found that it works until windows 10 updates the drivers automatically. Then it will fail again. So the solution is to stop windows 10 from doing the update. Here is how you do that- stop the driver update while still allowing the other windows 10 updates. At the 'ask me anything' prompt type control panel, then navigate to the system and security and finally system. From there, on the left side click on advanced system settings. A system properties box should pop up. Click on the hardware tab. Click on the tab device installation settings. A dialog box will pop up asking 'Do you want to automatically download manufacturers' apps and custom icons available for your devices'. Click on the circle next to 'no' and then save changes.

Now your screen should keep working.

There are a lot of reasons to use Windows 10 on the Taichi, but the best one is that it is vastly superior to windows 8.1. I am very disappointed that ASUS has decided not to support Windows 10 on the Taichi, as it would be very simple for them to do so, but here is the fix you need to run the new Windows 10. Everything will work superbly except your two screens. I assume you have already run the touchpad update from ASUS. What I am posting here is how to make both screens work.

Allow the update to build 1607. When that arrives your display switch (just to the right of F12) will not work. From ASUS download the update VGA_Intel_Win81_64_VER1018103412, Note this is listed for windows 8.1. Do not install it yet.

Now uninstall the device drivers using device manager. These are under display drivers and are called Intel HD 4000 drivers. Check the box to delete the files from your computer. Restart the machine. After you restart windows will now try to download and install new HD 4000 drivers. Cancel both the audio and video installs.

Now run the file for the VGA files you downloaded earlier. This will install both audio and video drivers. When that is done, restart the machine. Windows 10 will try to fix your install if you let it. You need to prevent it from updating these drivers. You can do this in two ways. One way is to disable all driver updates using the control panel. The problem with this is that there are other updates you want. So, use this method. Download a program called wushowhide from microsoft. Run the program. Find the Intel HD 4000 update that tried to run earlier (you stopped it by cancelling those updates after deleting them earlier). Click the box to hide that update. Now that will prevent the update only to the drivers, at least until windows 10 updates to a whole new version. Then, just run through this again.
