Hello all. I have been having issues now for some time with my Sabertooth Rev 1 and certain USB devices. If I plug in certain USB Devices it causes issues with all of the other USB Devices. Like say not even working on startup or reboot. Things just not being recognized and such.
The main device that causes issues like this is my Blue Yeti Mic. Whenever I plug that thing in it cause my mouse and keyboard to not work when I reboot or startup the PC. I have noticed that it is more than just keeping them from being detected upon startup but it is basically the USB Ports themselves from failing completely. In fact the drivers for the USB Ports would fail on one type then the next type would fail after I had rebooted. Be it the ASMedia, Generic, USB Root Hub, or the USB Root Hub (xHCI).
Other such devices that cause issues for me is my Saitek X52 Flight Control System, Logitech Orbit AF, Razer Hydra, and also one of my Razer Mice (can't remember if it is my BF3 Imperator or my Lachesis).
I have tried making sure the Drivers for the USB's are up to date. If I did a fresh install of the OS they do show up in the Windows Update. I have even went as far as to try and updating them with files directly from the main sites for their particular brands. None of the driver Updates help fix the issues. I have tried all sorts of fixes from BIOS updates, which I have the latest offered for my Rev 1, to Chipset drivers, Realtek USB Drivers as well as other USB Drivers, to even changing the BIOS settings for the USB options in the BIOS. I even looked to see if there was a driver for the Blue Yeti but there is not.
I am at a loss as to how to fix this issue.
Is this just a flaw in the Rev 1 design?
Is my Sabertooth just messed as if I have a bad one?
Is their a setting or update I am overlooking?
Also is anyone else having these sort of issues?
So any help would be appreciated. I basically want to be able to hook these things up and not have anything fail while turning the PC on or failing while doing things. (Failing during games not included as I know some games do not react well to USB Controllers.) So just basically during normal things like surfing the web or working with other office type apps. My main thing is turning on my PC and being able to use the Keyboard and Mouse. That is the first and for most thing I need to get fixed. Other wise I will have to unplug everything before I turn it on every single time. Even when I plug them in after its on there is a chance that the devices fail. But getting it to start up without failing would be a big step forward.
So like I said. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
